Description
In excellent condition. The GC7 is a 700 series Grand Concert model that was a part of Taylor's now discontinued Acoustic Line, which was created to focus on improving the unplugged acoustic tone over standard line Taylors. Eventually the Acoustic Line's improvements got absorbed into Taylor's standard line, and the GC7 was consolidated with the 712 (and lost the slotted headstock as well). This is a relatively rare guitar. Specs: -Red Cedar top -East Indian Rosewood back/sides -Ebony fretboard/bridge -24.9 scale, 1-3/4 nut -Taylor scalloped X-bracing w/ relief route -Mother of Pearl headstock logo, abalone rosette/dot inlays -Ivoroid binding -TUSQ nut and saddle Taylor Guitars in El Cajon installed an L.R. Baggs Element VTC pickup, which is what is currently being offered on the Taylor Gold Label series (Better than the ES2, in my opinion). They also installed a standard Taylor pickguard, which this model originally didn't have. If you prefer the classic Acoustic Line aesthetic of no pickguard, it is removable. Plays and sounds great, of course. Made in El Cajon, CA, USA
