Description
up for sale is this 1929 Mercedes Benz replica car project. If you're familiar with fords, this is a great project for you. Comes with the original 1974 2.3l engine, c4 transmission. Chassis is a 1973 Ford pinto. The car is not non running at the moment, and needs the power train put back in (the engine/transmission/drive shaft) before getting back on the road. As much as it pains me to sell this car, having only driven it once before taking apart for rebuilds, we need the money, and so am pricing it at a reasonable price for a hopefully quick sale. I'm pricing this car at a huge loss, so it should go without saying that the price is non negotiable. It would make a great, quick, easily FINISHABLE project and would make a sweet ride for the summer days ahead. I purchased this car in 2021. I went far into the rabbit hole with this project, and looking back, the car didn't need it. But at the time, I didn't care because I needed something to keep myself busy while I recovered from hernia surgery (so this car had a lot of work done to it, that it really didn't need// but that's a good thing for you). Over the year, the car was rebuilt from the bottom up. I rebuilt the engine Hot tanked and magnafluxed at Dan's automotive machine shop in Gresham. Cylinder wear was practically non existent, so shop didn't overbore. Head was rebuilt by C's automotive in Washington. They installed new cam/auxiliary bearings, surfaced the head and block, and installed hardened valve seats (along with other work). Receipts for every new part or serviced will be provided. The car has: New blinker mechanism New water pump New oil pump New gaskets (headgasket, rear main seal, timing cover seal, etc.) New valves, cam springs, hardened valve seats were installed too. New hydraulic valve lifters New timing belt New master cylinder (installed) New brake lines, shoes, brake hardware, wheel cylinders. Drums were resurfaced at O'Reily's. New distributor. Comes with all gaskets, nuts and bolts needed to install the engine/transmission. New engine mount New flex plate New starter In order to finish the project, these are the only things that need to be done: -transmission fluid replaced -good idea to replace rear axle seals -rebuilt engine and the transmission need to be bolted back into car (instructions will be provided, along with disassembly videos, bagged and labeled bolts, to help with installation. I can also help if you get lost on assembly.). -needs new spark plugs -New carb air filter And that's it. This car comes with alot of extra parts: An extra FULL Engine/Auxiliary gasket set for the car (felpro), Extra main bearings (when replacing connecting rod and main bearings, i accidentally ordered an extra set of main bearings). Too much to list. Too much to say. Call me. Come check the car out. {If post is up, car is still available. Will be taken down immediately after sale, so if ad is up, car is still available).
