Retail Price was $4,795 The Alize is a fantastic carbon road bike. This is the same model frame and fork raced by the professional United Healthcare team to win/podium in many stages in the 2013 season. The Alize is an aero model. It was designed with the help of BMW, an ex-Cervelo guy and wind tunnel testing. (This is a better bike than the Cervelo S3 and it comes with nice wheels.). The bike has middle of the road ride characteristics for a race bike. Not overly aggressive geometry nor ultra stiff. Very similar to Specialized Venge. It’s fast, comfortable and fun. The bike is a 59.5cm or XX-Large. It should fit someone 6’ through 6'2" (I am 6’2”). Full carbon aero frame and fork. Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting makes Shimano's already great performance even better. Mavic Kysrium Elite wheels are very strong and very light at 1540 grams. No cracks or no damages. I have not ridden much. Used XXL bikes may have taken a lot of abuse. I added cargo rack for my panniers that I used for my bike commute. Unfortunately I was able to commute with the bike less than 10 times till my wife saw a random bike accident on a street. She banned me riding bike since then. The bike has been on an indoor rack for long time without riding it. Original model name was Alize and changed to Nazaré later due to the lawsuit by Specialized, who were concerned that buyers for their aluminium Allez might be confused by a carbon aero bike called an Alize. NeilPryde also makes the carbon masts for Olympic racing yachts. Their carbon fabrication engineering was applied to carbon bike frame manufacturing. The technology to deal with sail force that can be much higher than any professional bike riders can put on a bike frame. NeilPryde has struggled on marketing their name in cycling market. But technology is still there. I have not measure the frame weight only, but claimed frame weight is 1,050g. Pedal needs to be replaced. I used mountain bike pedals for better walking shoes for my bike commute (only less than 10 times). I can include shoes and pedals free if the buyer wants.
