Set of EMF AUDIO custom reconed/upgraded rare MA AUDIO 2002 & 2005, MA100XE + MA103XE dual 4 ohm competition subwoofer. I originally had a set of beautiful condition 100XE’s but 1’s coil came unwound than was sold as is. The second kept remained as if it was 2002 factory new and all original till I one day over extended the cones excursion and it bottomed out. Around that time I was directed to Sean and his company EMF AUDIO for subwoofer recones. Contacted Sean Presenting wish of mechanical quality and custom upgrades. EMF audio competition grade cone, EMF audio high roll foam surround, original MA AUDIO dust caps kept & refitted, custom swapped 14G quality push lead terminal connections, competition grade dual 4 ohm 2” pure copper black coated multi layer voice coil, multi layer spider, 12G flat tinsel custom stitched/weaved tinsel lead, reflash of the magnets strength. Installed with use of original mounting gaskets. Estimating a new safe 500 rms up to risky 600 rms, deeper xmax, higher db per sub, slightly lowered frequency, slightly increased weight constructed of all top end competition grade modern market parts/power handling features+ some custom installed modernized parts, $130 per sub. Figure out drop off time and amount charged. I than ran into a killer deal. MA’s newer model 2005 MA103XE brand new never powered mint original condition in original packaging box MA AUDIO MA103XE. Sent too much power one too many times n Burnt the coils coating off. 15 seconds max it flooded the cab with burnt copper smell. It too was EMF audio custom competition rebuilt. Design and parts specs were dead same as the 100XE. Just different foam surround designs, different dust cap designs, basket design & color, different motor boot design, different mounting gasket, and of course different model name/number. Motor structure/ weight, “voice coil vents”, voice coil type/former’s build materials & dimensions, spider/ tinsel/cone/surround dimensions + rated RMS power stayed the exact same as the prior 100XE. $260 for both. $100 for the 103XE & $160 for the 100XE.
