The futon was used by my son to sleep on. He did have a padded mattress cover on it the whole time and it was left flat. It is not very comfortable to sleep on. But sitting is fine. The cover is in good condition since it has always been covered. It may need vacuumed off a little now as it has been un covered for a few weeks and we have been stacking things on top of it. The only flaw is that it has a dent on the right cushion. If someone knows how to go in and fix this then it would be perfect or if someone doesnt care or wants to put a pillow or folded blanket or padding of some sort and then cover it then it would also work nicely. It is free and is in great condition other than the dent in the cushion.
