Undeniably the oldest and most desired brand of Cuban drum made in the U.S. The company was founded by Tom Flores in Los Angeles in the early 1950's. This drum is made out of air-dried red oak and the hardware was also made in the shop. In 1986, the Los Angeles factory burned down, but this drum was created before that happened, making it rarer and more valuable. The drums have the original heads and hardware and we will include the original Valje tuning wrench. The drum is 31” and the diameter is 10.75. This drum was purchased by my father and he has lovingly played and cared for it for almost 40 years. My father also has a Valje Quinto and Tumbadora that he may considering selling if you are interested.
