Akai MPD226

The Akai MPD226 is a MIDI-over-USB pad controller designed for producers, programmers, musicians, and DJs. It combines classic MPC controls with seamless USB connectivity, bringing the feel of beat making into the computer-based music production world. Key features: Pads: 16 Thick Fat RGB illuminated, velocity- and pressure-sensitive MPC pads. You can access 64 assignable pads through 4 banks. The pads are known for their responsiveness and feel. Controls: The MPD226 features an expanded control set including four assignable faders, four assignable Q-Link knobs, and four assignable Q-Link buttons. These controls are arranged in three banks, providing a total of 36 assignable controls. MPC Legacy Features: It includes classic MPC features like Note Repeat, MPC Swing, 16 Level, Full Level, and Tap Tempo. Connectivity: It supports MIDI In and Out for controlling external gear. It is also iOS compatible with the Camera Connection Kit (sold separately). Transport Controls: Dedicated transport controls are included. Software Bundle: It comes with bundled software, including Ableton Live Lite, Akai Pro MPC Essentials, Sonivox Big Bang Cinematic Percussion, and Big Bang Universal Drums. Display: It has a monochrome LCD (Backlit) display.
