Description
This is a vintage Sony Tapecorder TC-800 reel-to-reel tape recorder. This model was released in 1964 and uses magnetic tape spooled between reels to record and play audio. It has a frequency response of 50 Hz to 12 kHz and a signal-to-noise ratio of 42 dB. The device has a single motor and can handle reels up to 5 inches. It was designed for the consumer market and was one of the first Sony reel-to-reels available in the US. The model shown in the image may be the TC-105A, which is a variation of the TC-800.
