1980 Pioneer SX-3700 Stereo Receiver

This is a 1980 Pioneer SX-3700 Integrated Stereo Amplifier that produces 45 Watts at 8 ohms into 2 channels. This receiver was fully serviced prior to purchase. Among the services performed are the following: The front faceplate was removed and polished. All loose connections were re-soldered, filter capacitors were replaced, all dials and switches were cleaned with Deoxit, FM circuit was re-aligned, new bulbs were installed and a new FM “T” antenna was provided. All lights and indicators are working. The SX-3700 can accommodate a single record turntable, cassette deck, and also has a AUX input which can be used for a CD player, and or a Bluetooth receiver. It can run up to 4 speakers at once IF they are rated at 8 ohms. The SX-3700 can operate a single set of 4 ohm speakers. It’s top-vented therefore it’s very important to avoid placing any components on top of it, to allow proper ventilation. Doing this will add many years of dependable operation. I’ve owned this receiver since February 2021, and it has operated brilliantly with CD, Vinyl, Cassette and Bluetooth streaming. The phono stage was particularly impressive. The FM radio produces an immersive warmish sound that’s typical of receivers from this era. It also has a built-in AM antenna. Feel free to ask me any questions that you may have.
