I ordered this from Amazon and was super excited about it due to that external M.2 SSD slot and 10 Gbps transfer speed, but I don't have an iMac and was trying to use as a central hub between laptop and external monitor and many other peripherals. It works amazingly for its intended purpose, but won't work if you need to send a monitor signal to it from a laptop (unless you go directly from laptop to monitor, bypassing this hub and using it for your other devices and as a plugged in backup source with a loaded SSD).
