Description

This sculptural pair of vintage mushroom bookends was handcrafted in Italy in the 1960s from solid natural alabaster. Each piece is carved from a single block of stone, featuring a soft veined beige stem and rich brown cap with natural green and ochre mineral accents. Polished to highlight the stone’s depth and luminosity, they shift beautifully in the light. Measuring approx. 6.5” tall by 5.75” wide and deep, with a combined weight of 6.5 lbs, they offer both function and organic beauty. Their smooth, curved form reflects Scandinavian modernism blended with Italian mid-century craftsmanship. Excellent condition with only minor blemishes that add character; no major damage. Original sticker still attached on bottom. (note that string lights reflecting on the stone in photos may look like larger blemishes but they are not)
