Description

Three BN Vintage Sets Of Mint Post Stamps From Bailiwick Of Guernsey First set of four Christmas-themed postage stamps was issued by the Bailiwick of Guernsey in 1978. It features various plants: Solanum, Christmas Rose, Holly, and Mistletoe. The second set depict different bird species, including a Gannet (5P), a Firecrest (7P), a bird resembling a Northern Cardinal or Atidad Warbler (11P), and a Spotted Redshank (13P). These stamps are issued by the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a British Crown Dependency in the Channel Islands. The third set of 18 stamps, issued in 1994, commemorates the uniforms of the Royal Guernsey Militia throughout different historical periods. This is one of the most ancient military organizations in the world, with records indicating its formation over 800 years ago for the defense of the Island of Guernsey.
