Description
Jim Ponter’s “Native Heroes” Pewter Sculptures commissioned by the Western Heritage Museum and sold by the Franklin Mint Circa 1988, is a much sought after exquisitely detailed collection honoring several indigenous tribes and their fierce warriors. Every heavy-to-hold figure tells an even heavier story, in their finely detailed facial expressions, and their specific action frozen in time, each telling a unique and powerful story. The large Blackfoot Chief weighs in at 11 lbs and stands 15” tall, a significant addition to any art or historical display on its own, selling for around $100+ alone when available on eBay or other auction sites. To also have the entire collection of 12 smaller pewter warriors as well is pretty rare, each of them standing about 4” tall and roughly 1/2 lbs, with attire and accessories unique to their particular tribe and story, is pretty special. I’m asking $150 for the entire collection, knowing I may regret it, but we have limited space and I can’t stand to have these in a box in the closet when they deserve to be displayed and enjoyed. $150 pick up in Arlington, Wa Can ship
