This rare find is a timeless Ivory Mid-Century Modern Volo Leather Eero SAARINEN (1(contact info removed)) Conference" armchair designed in 1957 Chrome-plated tubular steel legs and chrome-plated shoes, wooden frame, upholstered in its original leather. Executive Armchair by renowned designer Eero Saarinen for Knoll. This iconic chairs features a classic 4-leg chromed tube steel base and comfortable armrests. Featured in nearly all Florence Knoll-designed interiors, the Saarinen executive chair has remained one of Knoll's most popular designs for nearly 70 years. The design, which is now found in dining rooms as often as it is in offices, transformed the notion of what executive seating could be with its sculptural form and modern finishing. Volo is a premium leather from U.S. producer Spinneybeck. Used on many of the classics of modern design, it’s dyed through for saturated color, retanned for a superior hand and lightly corrected for a consistent slightly raised grain. A breathable, heavy finish becomes an integral part of the leather, providing protection while keeping the surface cool.
