This is an old school 6 inch wood jointer with cabinet that captures all the shavings. The fence is full length of the bed and secured at each end. It has an adjustable out feed table. most newer jointers of this size do not have an adjustable outfeed table, only the infeed table is adjustable. This one, both are adjustable. This really helps when you have to change or sharpen the jointer blades. For a jointer to be set up correctly. The out feed table should be at the exact height of the highest point of the cutter blades. Without an adjustable outfeed table, you have to do all of that in setting the blades. With an adjustable outfeed table, you can set the blades all the way down in their grooves and then bring the table to the top of the blade.
