Description
These vintage walnut cabinets are from Lane’s Tower Suite collection, popular in the 1970s. The cabinet doors feature vertical accents in rosewood finish that create a tambour appearance. They have clean mid-century lines with elegant chrome and rosewood door handles. They are great examples of the era’s brutalist design. The contrasting woods create a captivating aesthetic of dark and light. Unlike some MCM furniture, these do not have slender tapered legs. Instead, their platform bases anchor each piece and emphasize their robust stature. Behind the doors in the gentleman’s cabinet is generous storage for clothing, barware, media, or collectibles. It also has two spacious lower drawers. The 4 drawers and single shelf offer ample storage, and the solid cabinet doors and dovetail construction demonstrate the superior craftsmanship Lane is famous for. It According to the stamp on the back, it was manufactured in 1969. The matching storage piece could be used either as a side table or a nightstand. It features the same rosewood accented doors and chrome hardware. The doors open in the center to reveal ample storage space. The top features six rosewood inserts that give it a unique MCM design. It measures 28 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep and 22 inches high. The warm walnut finish and minimalist hardware make these pieces equally suited to a bedroom, living room, or office. Both pieces are in great vintage condition, with only a few minor blemishes. The tops are great – no drink circles, etc. Rather than refinishing them, we left them in original condition. Located south of the airport, near 215 and Windmill. Delivery is available within the Las Vegas Valley.
