Description

2 and 3-gallon potted plants are $15 each. As of March 3rd, we are offering 6 gallon potted plants for $20.00 each. These can stay potted over the next 2 years as an option for those of you who would love to add some charm or privacy to your patio. Located in the town of Burlington. By Appointment only. Three have been fertilized for the season. Bright red foliage color in autumn adds to the ornamental value of BONUS blueberries. The Bonus Blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum 'Bonus') is a Northern highbush blueberry plant that's known for its large, sweet, and juicy berries and high yields: Size: Bonus Blueberry bushes can grow to be 5–6 ft tall and wide. Fruit: The berries are extra-large and bright blue, often the size of a quarter or half dollar, and are very sweet with a mild acidity. Yield: A mature bush can produce 8–12 lbs of berries per year. Blueberries prefer full sun, although the plants will tolerate partial shade. As shade increases, the bushes produce fewer blossoms, and fruit production declines. Blueberries require acidic, well-drained, loose soils with a high organic matter content. Good drainage is important because the very fine root system needs adequate aeration. The roots of blueberries will suffocate if they remain in water-saturated soil for even a few days. Water tables should always remain at least 30 cm below the soil surface. Avoid low-lying locations since they may be poorly drained. These are strong 4 to 5 year-old plants that are free from viruses and diseases. Plants are located in Downtown Burlington. By appointment only. (contact info removed) Discounts for orders over 25.
