Victorian "La Belle China" by Wheeling Pottery Floral Trinket Dishes (Bone Dishes) 1(contact info removed)'s Lovely made in good antique conditioin with no chips or cracks, Discoration present. This lovely pair today would use as a trinket Dish & a decorative addition to any room or table. 6 1/2"x3 1/2"x 1/2 weighing 4oz each. A Bit of History: La Belle China crescent-shaped bone dishes, produced by the Wheeling Pottery Company located in Wheeling, West Virginia were primarily manufactured during the late Victorian era spanning from the late 1880s to the early 1900s. The La Belle factory produced this fine ironstone & semiporcelain tableware roughly between 1888 & 1910. La Belle China was a highly successful line of Adamantine & semi-porcelain dinnerware, pitchers & wash basins produced by the Wheeling Pottery Company. Discoloration on un-crazed antique porcelain is most commonly caused by metal marking, iron leaching, underglaze staining or glaze degradation. Victorian era for porcelain 1(contact info removed)
