The Alterra's long wheelbase and upright riding position provide superior comfort and stand-and-pedal capability, an asset on rolling terrain. Handmade in America from high-grade 7005 aluminum, the lightweight Alterra Road also boasts a vibration-damping carbon fork and SRAM's sure-shifting 27-speed X-9 drivetrain and shifters with a TruVativ crankset. The lock is a Kryptonite Evolution Series 4 lock is sold separately. If purchasing with the bike, will sell for an additional $40. This lock is rated an 8/10 from a security standpoint and comes with an anti-theft protection offer.
