Description

☆I have one other 3 piece French 1920s Marble clock case listed and several more antique slate and marble clock cases (no inners) to sell ☆Will do bundle discount if interested in other items I have listed. Antique French black slate and marble mantel Clock case. Only case, no parts inside. Weighs about 12lbs. Unsure of maker but my father had it marked "1920s French Black Slate & Marble". Has 2 metal side decor pieces. Beautiful thin hand carved or engraved pattern on front sides and across bottom. Case has accumulated flaws over the years from scratch marks, nics, a cracked area on top right side, left bottom marble piece is missing and some small white discolored spots that should remove with proper cleaning as several cases accumulated these tiny white spots that remove easily. The middle of case is attached to the wider bottom piece and will need reinforced as its beginning to shift around some but still intact. Missing a small marble piece on front bottom left of case. A lot of the streaks you see in photos is dust due to sitting for a long time untouched in my late fathers clock repair shop. I wiped down but needs a better cleaning. I have had many people purchase cases from me this past year that end up making them into picture frames, others put lights inside and make display cases and other fun crafty things. You can also put chicken fencing or metal rods where the dial/face hole is and make this a beautiful original jewelry, earring, ring or brooch display/holder or actually put a clock inside for its intended purpose even if you fake it with a battery quartz movement which I will throw in if wanting.
