This is a vintage Fyr-Fyter brand 2 1/2 gallon pressurized water fire extinguisher. This type of extinguisher is designed for use on Class A fires, which involve ordinary combustibles like wood, paper, and cloth. It uses water and a compressed gas to propel the extinguishing agent. Date on back states 1973 (see picture).
