Description

The REDLINK Development Kit allows programmers to create custom applications to control their DSMC via mobile device, computer, or microcontroller. The kit contains a USB pre-loaded with the REDLINK SDK sample apps, as well as additional resources. Use the SDK, apps, and resources to create custom applications that allow you to adjust controls on the DSMC, including Record Start/Stop, Shutter Speed, White Balance, ISO, and programmable User Keys. You can also program your custom app to monitor the status of your camera settings. Completing the REDLINK Development Kit is the REDLINK Bridge, a wireless module that allows apps to communicate with the DSMC through the REDLINK Command Protocol (RCP). Additionally, the REDLINK Bridge interfaces with the RED 3-Axis Lens Control Systems T.H.C. (Tactical Hand Controller) to control focus and iris on Canon and Nikon lenses. The REDLINK Bridge attaches to the rear of the DSMC BRAIN or compatible rear module, and supports a wireless communication range of approximately 50 ft. Note: The REDLINK Bridge requires that the DSMC is on firmware v5.2.8 or later.
