Description
This is a fabulous piece of furniture. It is whimsical and beautiful and functional. Circa 1880. The upper section with bowed crest above a plaque insert with the wording "Sublime Tobacco! Which From East To West Cheers the Tars Labors or the Turkman's Rest". The piece is in two sections. The upper section has hammered copper panel doors and strap hinges, and opens to reveal a pipe rack on the door interiors. The upper section is supported on columns and decorated with spindles. The lower section has a long drawer over panel door cabinets with ornate pulls and strap hinges, all on square tapered legs. 65" high and 35" wide.
