Uncut sheets of new unused $1,$2,$3, & $5 Obsolete Notes. These artistic large size bank notes were issued over 166 years ago in 1857 by Western Exchange Fire and Marine Insurance Company, Omaha, Nebraska. They were issued for the Swedish America Colony of Bishop Hill In Illinois. These notes survey as certificates of deposit for Colony funds. The settlement dissolved after the banking company failed during the Financial Panic of 1857. Sale is cash only at the time of pick up at the Good Will and Dollar tree parking lot along route 6 Geneseo.
