2023 Royal Enfield Scram 411

****Please read the entire post. I will do my best to touch on the main stuff, but if I leave anything out, please ask questions you may have, and I will do my best to answer them**** 2023 ROYAL ENFIELD SCRAM 411 Currently has 8898 miles, but I still ride it daily, so mileage will continue to go up until it's sold. ****CLEAN TITLE IN HAND AND REGISTERED IN MY NAME**** ****AND BECAUSE PEOPLE KEEP ASKING, EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS IT IN BIG, BOLD LETTERS: THE MOTORCYCLE IS REGISTERED IN MY NAME WITH CLEAN TITLE IN HAND**** Bike runs like a champ. It is the perfect bike for short trips around town, or long spirited freedom rides on the highway or back roads, as long as you're not pinning it full throttle at 80 MPH for extended periods of time. The bike is definitely more comfortable (and much healthier for the engine) cruising around the 65 MPH sweet spot all day. It's a very popular motorcycle overseas, and is well known for its robust and reliable engine; many people take it on cross country trips, thousands upon thousands of kilometers multiple times over, with absolutely zero issues. It's also the perfect bike for the type of individuals out there that are ACTUALLY free spirits and don't give a damn about what other people think of them. I am the 2nd owner. It was purchased as a lien sale through a tow yard in Ventura when it had 6713 miles on it. Not entirely sure what happened, but I'm assuming the original owner got arrested and never came to pick the bike up. It sat at the tow yard for about a year after they got it from the police. This is what I was told by the tow yard, even they didn't know the full story. But anyways, obviously I have already gone through all the headache inducing trouble of getting it checked and verified by CHP, as proven by the clean title and it being registered in my name. There are various scuffs and scratches on the bike, as you can see in the photos, and some not in the photos. There is also some rust on the pegs, and very minor rust/blemishes in other areas such as some screws and bolts, but it's negligible and hardly worth mentioning - the bike is NOT a rustbucket - it's actually in pretty good shape, it just has some slight battle scars. But most importantly, none of it affects the functionality of the bike. Also, none of this was because of me. I take good care of my belongings; I purchased the bike in its current cosmetic condition - what you see is how it was purchased. The original owner did not take care of it as well as he should have, which is unfortunate, but it is what it is. I purchased it because it was a steal, and a badass bike. The oil and oil filter were changed 2200 miles ago with full synthetic. Also replaced a new chain at this time as well, along with a new air filter. The valves were also checked at this time and are within spec, no adjustment needed. The front brake pads were swapped out for quality pads, because the stock ones were absolutely terrible. New pads work great and stop on a dime. Blake fluid on front and rear brakes was changed about 200 miles ago as well. I also had to replace the locking cylinders for the metal panniers. I have keys for both, and they work perfectly. Be sure to use PB Blaster every once in a while to keep em lubricated and working well. Quick refresher: 1. oil filter and full synthetic oil changed 2200 miles ago. RE says every 5000 miles is fine. 2. new chain replaced 2200 miles ago 3. new air filter replaced about 2200 miles ago 4. brake flush on front/rear brakes 200 miles ago with DOT 4 fluid 5. front brake pads replaced with quality pads 200 miles ago 6. valves were checked for factory clearance, still within spec 7. replaced locking cylinders on the panniers. Requires separate keys, which I have spares for both Cosmetically-wise, the bike could be in better shape, as you can see in the photos, but it honestly isn't bad. In person, the bike looks rad. It has a certain charm to it, and it always gets compliments, because it's unique and different. The bike runs amazing, too. Starts up everytime, no mechanical nor electrical issues of any kind. It's a great do-all motorcycle that one doesn't have to obsess over keeping it spotless. It's the perfect bike for someone that wants something fun and can take on adventures and appreciate it for what it is and can do. Also makes an excellent commuter bike as well. This bike is an absolute steal for $1600. It's in fantastic condition, considering... and asking for $1600 is damn near pretty much giving it away. I am also heading to Washington State very soon, so it's imperative this bike gets sold sooner rather than later, and hopefully goes to a good home that gives it the appreciation and use it deserves. I also understand this makes me an idiot for divulging this information, because it gives people leverage, but I don't have a choice. I need this bike sold. Let's make a deal, baby!
