U.S. Constitution 200th Anniversary Silver Dollar (1987) This is an official legal tender commemorative coin issued by the United States. Obverse (Front): It features an image of a quill pen crossed over a parchment scroll containing the famous words "We the People" written in classic calligraphy. The top inscription reads "U.S. CONSTITUTION 200th ANNIVERSARY" and the bottom features the dates "1787 - LIBERTY - 1987". The "S" mint mark is visible, indicating it was minted in San Francisco with a Proof (mirror-like) finish. Reverse (Back): It depicts a diverse group of human figures representing the growth and diversity of the American population throughout the centuries. The Latin phrase "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is inscribed along the upper arc, while the bottom reads "DOLLAR 1 - UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". Composition: 90% silver and 10% copper.
