Description
Antique Original! Overall great condition Some signs of wear and aging but adds to the nostalgia! Approx: 11 inches long View all photos for condition and measurements Redlich's Wooden Wine/Beer Barrel/Keg Bung Spigot Tap made in Chicago, with a 1893 World's Columbian Exposition Label of Approval. The Redlisch's label reads: "Redlich's Warranted Faucets Fully Saturated with India Rubber, H. Redlich, Chicago." To the right of this label is a number 20 hand written in grease pencil which probably was the sales price. The World's Columbian Exposition was a world's fair held in Chicago in 1893 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the New World in 1492. The centerpiece of the Fair, the large water pool, represented the long voyage Columbus took to the New World. It is remarkable that the paper labels survived. Spigot appears to be in functional condition
