He never ran it hard and always stored it inside his garage. Since the heart attack, he hasn't been able to do any type of manual labor. And as a result of this unit sitting for the past year, and never being started/ran, the fuel lines need to be replaced. And it MAY or MAY NOT need a new carborator. Either way, replacement carb is cheap and you won't know if it needs to be done until after you replace the fuel lines. Average cost to have a professional replace the fuel lines is just $25-$35. I have put a new fuel cap on this unit. As well as a new oil fill cap on opposite (cutting) end. Also replaced the spark plug with brand new one. And spent a few hours cleaning it up some. This unit was over $800 when he bought it new back then. Now, you can expect to pay over $600 for a comparable model at a Stihl dealership. So $340 is more than reasonable for anyone in need of a high end pole saw.
