First, the serial number on the box and on the unit. Real ones have the SN started with SU while on all fake ones the SN starts with CU, like CU(contact info removed)83. Second, the genuine SNES classic gamepads have the connector matte dark gray with black tri wing screws and the nintendo logo on one side and inscriptions/drawings on the other are well made while on the fake controllers the connector is black, kinda flat with chromed phillips screws. Third, the quality of the box printings and the cardboard used are very high whereas the fake one is kinda blurry and dull and the cardboard is thin. If the vendor posted pics of the screen, the original shows game boxes as game images and drawings of the console and gamepads on background.
