Description
This is the rarest of 3 commemorative spoons to the polar explorer Roald Amundsen. Two other spoons commemorating Amundsen’s exploration of the South Pole along with his death in 1928 were also made. Roald Amundsen is credited as the first explorer to both the north and South Pole. You can go to {url removed} to find out more about these spoons. All three spoons sold at Christie’s Auction House in 2001 for over $2300. Spoon is in good undamaged condition with the original patina. It is made of 830 silver. This is a rare chance to own a piece of history.
