Description
Rare antique Seltzogene D. Fevre London, Paris. Made in France in the 1800 - early 1900 era. Unique double sphere shape and wire mesh cage. The pewter siphon is marked “D. Fevre Patent Paris and London. The wire mesh was used as a protection for the glass and to prevent the siphon from exploding. These bottles are very rare collectors items and display beautifully. Condition: Aged character. Fair antique condition considering 19th century age. No chips or cracks to the glass. Wire mesh shows rust and pulled away in a few spots but 90 percent still intact. Glass straw in great condition. Size: Considered a size 2 seltzogene bottle. Approximate dimensions are 17” H with top on, top ball 15” circumference and the bottom ball 19.5” circumference. Weight is 10lbs 5oz.
