Description

This one about did me in! I was so excited when I got my hands on these! They were covered in hideous brown paint. I just couldn’t wait to see what was underneath. Until I did. Turns out, that awful brown paint was hiding even more unsightly water damage and sanded down wood grain. I tried everything I could think of to shine these guys up. My last effort is what you see. A black stain wash. It actually worked beautifully on one of them. However there just isn’t enough wood grain on the other for the black to stick to. So it’s quite a bit lighter than the other. I could have just covered them back up with some black paint or something. But I wanted their perfect and not so perfect features to shine as they are! And I guess they won’t be set next to each other anyway. So it wont be as glaring. And someone out there is going to get some authentic MCM end tables for a very good price!
