Description
.547 bore, 8.5 inch rose brass bell, in fair condition. Has a few minor dents in bell and crook, as well as a slight bend in the tube between the rotor and the threaded fitting to hold the slide (see photos). Cosmetic wear to the finish as shown in photos. Tuning slides move freely. Rotor is smooth. Slide lock works. Main slide is fair and could use a good cleaning. Plays and sounds great with a very rich sound which I've seen described elsewhere as 'brighter than a Conn 88H but darker than a Bach 42B.' Excellent value for a large bore horn. Case in good condition, odor free, with minor exterior scuffs and a missing wire from the center latch; the other two latches work perfectly. Mouthpiece not included (this horn accepts any large shank mouthpiece (i.e. Back 6-1/2 AL). Bell section serial number 906977 Slide section serial number A-7499 Made in the U.S.A.
