Rumtopf leaded crock / pot. Vintage 11 inches tall, ceramic, cherry motif. Appears to be hand-painted. Rumtopf , rum pot in German, is a crockery pot or crock filled with fruit, sugar, and rum, and left to steep for 4 to 6 weeks or longer, adding fruit is the season progresses.The result is fruit preserved rum, served with pudding or over cake, ice cream. Spectacular at the holidays, or actually anytime! although vintage, no chips or repairs. Excellent. Where commensurate with age and use. Ready for the rum and fruit! Yum rum.
