Natural Gas .Propane Gas. Pump Gas. Motor itself goes for between $300 and $400 dollars.This generator will idle down when power isn't being drawn. This unit does have a idle control that works good. This is a (5000 watt. 5500 watt Max) 1 phase generator. I do have a switch unit that comes with this unit can be hooked into a person's electrical panel for a backup. The only thing that this generator is missing is a handle.
