This bike is perfect for someone who wants a smooth, shock absorbent ride, that feels much like a small motorcycle. I have gotten it to 38-40 mph often. I weigh 140 lbs. This bike is great for a heavy rider as well…my hubby is 195 and he loves it. The torque is great and the hydraulic brakes work really well. This bike is not great on bumpy off road trails, however does handle semi smooth off dirt trails perfectly. The other thing this bike is not great for is pedaling. Because the composition of the bike is like a motorcycle, the knees are a little close to the chest when you try to pedal long distance. It’s just great for throttling the whole time. The battery lasts for a long time. I’ve never gotten it to one bar and I ride to the Dana Point harbor and back, from San Clemente all the time.
