Description
2 Vintage 1(contact info removed) U.S.P.C. Co. 1 Regular 1 Bridge & 1 Western Publishing Company All in Brand New Sealed Condition. The most unique deck in this set is the Musketeer Frenchman designed Congress playing cards with a Green Floral Background, Silver Edges, and a tan velvet box. This deck is completely sealed and has the Blue USIR Tax Stamp from 1(contact info removed) completely in tact. The stamp is listed as a U.S.P.C. Co. This really is an incredible deck of cards. The second deck of cards in this set also has a Blue USIR Tax Stamp from 1(contact info removed), and it is the vintage Hoyle Bridge Playing Cards with gold edges & decorated with a French Street Scene by the artist Baisson. The tax stamp is also listed as a U.S.P.C. Co. This deck is sealed around all 4 corners, but there is a tiny piece of the cellophane missing on the back, and a section of the cellophane on the front that has cracked. The piece is still intact and could easily be reattached with a piece of tape to completely seal the deck. I just thought I would mention it to describe it as honest as possible. Technically this deck is still sealed, however because of the loose piece in the middle of the seal is the reason I am mentioning it. The third vintage deck of cards in this set was made by Western Publishing Co. Playing Cards and it is completely sealed. This deck of cards is designed after the Artist Frans Van’s Painting “Bull & Matador”. Some interesting information I learned about Frans Van when I found these cards is that he was a Dutch born American artist who immigrated to the US in 1950, and shortly after arriving in the US he began working as a background artist for Walt Disney Studios. He also was a comic book artist and illustrator of children’s books and greeting cards. Just some cool background information I learned that I thought I would share.
