All light aluminum frame makes this bike twice as light as a full squish, and subsequently much easier for a new biker to start out with. 8 speed Revo shift rear derailleur makes this a modern 1x setup Front and rear brakes with kid sized brake handles help if a kids hand size isn’t large. 24” wheels front and back help adapt and run over the rugged stuff. Fully adjustable saddle makes it usable as your child grows. Bottom line: If you want your kid to have a good time on real mountain bikes, make sure they have a real bike. Not Huffy crap sold at Walmart. If you want to save some $$ off new because you’re not 100% sure they’ll like it, buy this bike. OR you could be 100% sure they WONT like it, and buy them a Huffy.
