The collateral would be held until you pay balance, if you want to take the bike and title/ride before paid off in full. That option is 100% nonnegotiable, as a private sale, that is the only way for me to privately secure the buyer will finish paying off. Once the buyer comes back with balance left owed, collateral is returned at that time.
