Up for sale is one of my favorite strats. I need to sell several guitars ASAP. My loss will be your gain. If already know about the golden age of Japanese guitar building in the ‘80s at the now legendary FujiGen factory, you know that their craftsmanship and quality clearly exceeded US models of the era by a long shot, and this is no exception. 1984 black aged strat with amazing Silver Series neck. Quartersawn maple usually only used on high end guitars, and the rolled jumbo frets on 7.25 inch radius C shape neck illustrates Japanese attention to detail. Gorgeous dark rosewood fingerboard. This neck set up was later made popular by Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Frets have plenty of life (9 of 10). Lots of other upgrades including Fender Locking Tuners ( $75), Retro brass Tremelo, new pots and wiring, and incredible vintage gold foil inspired hand wound pickups from Europe ( Q pickups $200).While not known here, these are Fender custom shop quality… chimey, bell like, amazing string clarity for a vintage sound, and also sounds great in bridge, too. I recommend keeping these, but also included is the non original Fender USA pickups they came with, as well as white pick guard and black covers. The alder body has plenty of battle scars as seen in the pics, but only adds to its mojo. Like a good relic job, it fits the guitar without trying too hard. The cosmetics do not affect the playability or tone of this beast at all. Come with non original tweed case in excellent condition.
