Description

This rare hollow body approx. 58 year old vintage guitar, sunburst finish, maple body, neck, rosewood fretboard, made in the U.S.,it has the normal marks here and there, it is in great condition for it's age, look at the picture of the back of this guitar and it is as georgeous as the front with only a few unnoticeable belt buckle marks, I am the original owner (I really took care of this from 10 years old on, because I was raised very poor except for this guitar and I knew I wasn't going to get another one), it comes with the original chipboard case that is in fair condition. This is a top tier Harmony built model with three DeArmond pickups, individual on/off switches, and the classic hollowbody tone these guitars are known for! A cool bit of history: When my parents bought this from Sears in 1960, it was discounted so heavily that the store blacked out the Silvertone logo on the headstock. This was a common Sears practice on blowout deals at the time. The guitar itself is completely original except for the tuners were replaced with the same kind and I have the originals. All 6 of the potentiometers are original and very, very hard to find, they all cleaned up perfectly in my restoration by being cleaned up perfectly with electronics cleaner, 2 of the pickups were sent out for professional rewinding, the 3 pickup switches cleaned up very well on the contacts and work perfectly. I have been setting up guitars for decades and have done my best total restoration on my first guitar that I am willing to sell now because I am retired and want to enjoy some new solid body guitars. The frets show very little wear and I got a new set of Elixir 10's on it and it plays better than it ever did, you would have a hard time finding one that plays better. I hope someone who really enjoys guitars like this gets it. Asking $1,057 or best reasonable offer. CASH ONLY, NO PAYPAL, ZELLE, CHECKS etc. OR SHIPPING, LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.
