Description
Sold As Is with no keys. You can get keys on Amazon. Clock needs adjustment but it does tick when wounded up. Sold for almost $400 on Etsy and other sites. A solid antique piece This is an antique Ansonia cast iron mantel clock. It features an ornate Rococo style cast iron case, typically with a black enamel finish and applied brass or gilt scrollwork ornaments. The clock has a gilded dial with black Arabic numerals and an embossed, radiating sunburst center. The mechanical movement is an 8-day, spring-wound mechanism that strikes a single gong on the half-hour and tolls the appropriate number of times on the hour. These clocks often have a patent date of June 18, 1882, visible on the inner workings. Measurements for similar models are approximately 13 to 16 inches in height.
