Description

Selling a 60’S Vintage and Rare Ampeg BT-15C Portaflex 2/15 Combo Bass Amp Equipped With the Original Altec Lansing 418B Speakers. This bass amplifier has tone to die for, If you’re a fan of the deep tight Bass Led Zeppelin Style of the 60s and 70s this Amp accomplishes that in spades! The two 15 inch speakers are housed in two separate enclosures within the single cabinet both with heavy duty musically enhanced insulation. This Amp apparently had a couple of modifications done to it in it’s past including a grounded three-way heavy duty Power Cable and a switchcraft plug and receptacle for the speaker output. Additionally at some point the speaker grill was changed to what you see currently which is all black and easily can be removed by removing six screws. This Ampeg has been sitting in climate controlled storage for the past 18 years and was recently resurrected. There’s some crackling when you turn the amp on and off and some of the knobs are kind of scratchy but everything is functional including the push pull treble Controls. The BT 100 head is 100 Watts into 8 Ohms and attached to the head is a switchcraft DIN Plug which attaches to the cabinet Via a matching receptacle, It also Has a quarter inch external speaker output and a external amplifier output as well. It has four Front panel 1/4 inch inputs, Two Low frequency and two for higher frequency devices, All four can be used simultaneously. There are two separate channels both of which also can be used simultaneously with separate volume Bass and treble for both channels. The Amp Weighs in at 110 pounds and is approximately 39 inches tall 20 inches wide 14.4 inches deep. It sits on the Factory dolly that works pretty well to get it around. As you can see from the pics it definitely has some bumps and bruises including a cigarette burn mark on the top and two small ones on the top towards the front. The original cabinet handles Have been changed to two handles that are spring-loaded and are flush to the cabinet.
