Description

Stunning and rare footed spade vase by master British potter John Maltby (1(contact info removed)). Maltby was a member of the Craft Potters Association and the British Crafts Centre, and an advisor to the Bernard Leach Archive. His work is in institutions and museums worldwide. This work is incised and slip decorated with crosses, the reverse has abstract splash design, tenmoku glazed to the interior. It is marked on the bottom. The vase measures approximately 8.25”H x 7.25”W and is in excellent condition. I have more fine studio pottery available as well.
