1971 Datsun 521 Pickup Truck

1971 Datsun 521 Pickup Truck This is a great little truck. All original - has had no major modifications, only replacement of parts and worked on as needed. This has been my daily driver on and off for the last 4 years. Runs and stops pretty good. But with anything this old, there is always some sort of work that needs to be d1. Lots of parts have been replaced through the years. Brakes were d1 about 6 months ago. All the lights work, but the hi/lo beams are stuck in the low position. The relay that controls this is a little out of whack (can be fixed) so I have it currently hardwired for lo beams to be on. Since it's gotten cold outside, it's been a bit harder to start but the battery is oversized for the motor and can crank for days. Interior is pretty clean and complete. The paint has a nice patina but no major rust problems. Panels are all pretty straight with the exception and the rear corner on the bed. Got gently backed into a cement filled pole at about 2 mph. It is really a pretty convenient spot for that to happen because it is its own separate panel. Overall it is a great specimen of a vintage truck that's only getting harder to find.
