Description

This one is tough for me as this was a dream build that I did a couple years ago but I simply don't play guitar enough to keep this one around. This is a very high end telecaster custom built by parts. I have many more photos including some during the build process if you want to see anything else. I created this video to show the unique wiring setup and so you can hear the guitar: https://offerup.com/redirect/?o=aHR0cHM6Ly95b3V0dS5iZS9ad05QcWpxYTBySQ== This was built to be the ultimate telecaster. The neck is a legit Fender neck, 2018 American Performer neck that came loaded with the stock locking tuners. The neck plate is also Fender. The body was custom built and finished by MJT guitars in a mocha brown in a nitro finish. It was their "closet clean" finish and already has some of that nice vintage nitro look and feel like it's a vintage guitar. It should weather quite nicely with a lot of playing. There's a few finish nicks that I showed in photos, mainly look at the underside of the neck heel. The pickups are handwired by Cavalier pickups. The neck pickup is the "Lion King" and the bridge pickup is a Twin Lion with two distinct windings in one pickup with a coil tap on a push-pull tone knob. Pushed down it's the "Nashville lion" which is a more classic 50's tele winding and the UP position is his "Huge lion" which is overwound and gets VERY close to a P90 sound. Additionally the Bourns 4-way switch has position 2 for both pickups in parallel and position 3 for both pickups in series. So in total you get 7 pickup combinations here for a ton of versatility. This guitar will do the classic tele twang all the way up through pushed rock tones. Kluson bridge. High end parts, cloth wiring, copper tape in all the cavities, etc. This guitar cost me $1400 in parts and many many hours in labor, so it's priced fairly and I'm including a hard case and strap with Dunlop straplocks installed. You will never find another tele like this one! Any questions let me know.
