1983 Toyota Corolla DX 4-door (AE71) cylinders: 4 cylinders paint color: copper title status: clean transmission: automatic type: sedan I have a 1983 Toyota Corolla for sale with original 128,xxx miles. Original paint with no rust. (look at pictures for proof) Previous owner has replace carb with brand new oem carb and was unable to get it running properly. When it came into my hands I did the following work to it to ensure it to be a safe reliable daily. Pulled engine and transmission out and done the following: -Replace Piston rings, oil rings, main bearing, rod bearing to factory stock spec. -wire brush piston head and valves clean -Replace oil pump with factory oem AISIN brand -Bottom block and heads was taken to shop to be resurfaced -Valve stem seals, rear main seal, oil seal, valve cover seals, mechanical fuel pump, water pump, timing belt has been replaced. Transmission work: -Original 3spd auto transmission has been replaced with 4spd with overdrive transmission and driveshaft from a 1985 toyota corolla sr5. (Toyota has never put a 4spd over drive trans of this year in a DX only sr5 had O/D option) Custom brackets was made to mount transmission to chassis. -Input shaft seal, transmission pan, filter, and shift linkage seal has been changed -Original factory O/D button from a 1985 toyota corolla sr5 taken and retrofitted to shifter base for oem look. Other Upgrades: -A/C system has been upgraded to bigger stronger 134a Compressor and lines to connect it to system. (See picture for stock to upgrade comparison) -Radiator upgraded to aluminum 3 row with electric fan. (Had to upgrade due to AC being to powerful and making engine run a little hot with stock radiator. (will include original belt fan and fan shroud.)
