Glassmasters Stained Glass reproduction From the Original Window by Nicola D'Ascenzo in the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington D.C . Certificate of Authenticity IncludedTitle: "The Seven Ages of Man" Description: This tableau portrays the seven stages of a man's life from Jacques' speech in Shakespeare's play "As You Like It ". From Infancy to Old Man in beautiful detail. Located at the west end of the Gail Kern Paster Reading Room, the Seven Ages of Man window is by the Philadelphia stained-glass studio of Nicola D'Ascenzo (1871–1954). D'Ascenzo's numerous other works include windows at the Washington National Cathedral, the Yale and Princeton University Chapels, and the Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge. Vintage, heavy, handsome, in excellent condition and signed. Please take a moment to enlarge and view all the detailed pictures. These were sold in the Folgers Shakespeare Library in the 80's to help and show support for the library. The item is no longer available at the library or made. It originally cost the patrons a $300 donation to get one. The rectangle is framed in beautiful walnut with a cathedral arch and is in excellent condition. According to a recent listing for the same item: THERE HAVE BEEN ONLY 8 ON EBAY IN THE LAST DECADE. Condition of piece: Excellent. Frame Size: 15 3/4 x 19 3/4 inches
