1983 Polk Audio 5A monitor speakers

For Polk Audio, the early 80's Series 5 speakers are regarded as one of the best they ever produced. These are the earlier version of the Series 5, which I've read had better tweeters in them than the later models that were actually branded as studio monitors, but were basically the same speaker. These make a fantastic pair of speakers for tracking mixes and getting a true, accurate reproduction of the original sound. They were made to do just that: they do not add or subtract anything. What you put in is what you get out. It really is stunning the accurate detail and clarity these produce. They're bigger than bookshelf speakers, but not as big as the typical 80's floor speakers. The enclosures and grilles are still in outstanding condition with minimal light scratches and small dings. Behind the grilles everything looks brand-new. No modifications have been made. These are all-original.
