Harman Kardon 730 Twin Powered Vintage Stereo Receiver

REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE!! . A beautiful vintage Harman Kardon 730 Twin Powered stereo receiver. Probably one of the nicest 730s in existence. Twin Powered was not simply some marketing jargon. These units literally have completely separate transformers and power amplifier modules for each channel. Hence the term 'twin powered') and believe me, that is a big deal! The power supply in most any quality audio component has a giant Factor in final and overall sound quality. It is a two owner, one family unit. It belonged to my oldest brother from about 1976 till 1980. It has been in my collection ever since. It has never needed a repair. However, it has been completely gone through by myself. It sounds phenomenal, and has an incredibly sensitive and excellent sounding tuner. I still enjoy great quality FM broadcasting. You can find a link to the owner's manual online if you would like to have a copy of it. The only thing that it needs, and I will give you the part, is a new dial fuse lamp. I have arthritis in my hands now, and these kind of repairs are very hard for me to do anymore. However, anybody that is the least bit handy can change it without an issue. It doesn't affect the units operation whatsoever, as it just illuminates the tuning meter from behind. As I said, I will give you the part for free you can change it yourself. It looks just like a fuse. It works like new and sounds absolutely amazing. These receivers sounded as good as anything made during the receiver wars of the seventies. The only receivers that even came close to the sound quality of the HKS, were the Marantz models. Personally, I like the sound of the Harman units better. I have owned over a thousand components in my lifetime, and I was in the audio business for over 40 years. My collection at one point numbered close to 500 pieces of equipment. I am listing some of my collection, as I would really like somebody to buy it that will use it and enjoy it, rather than let it sit on a shelf for 35 plus years like I have. As you can see from the photos, it looks almost like brand new! It is getting almost impossible to find vintage audio gear in this kind of condition! After all, it is between 45 and 50 years old, and looks like it could pass for a month old. Always in climate control, non-smoking environments. This is super important, especially the non-smoking part. Not only does it degrade the unit physically, but also internally. The knobs and front faceplate are all perfect. No chipping paint, or scratched and/or stained knobs or buttons. In fact, in the last few weeks I have completely gone through the unit, including cleaning and lubricating all switches and controls with DeOxit. All operation of the unit is completely quiet! Not a hint of noise or static in any of the controls or switches whatsoever! There is one slightly noticeable scratch on the top of the unit, but you have to be within a few feet to even notice that. I would challenge anybody out there to try to find a nicer, more well cared for example. My price is fair, but I will consider a reasonable offer. Lowball offers will be ignored.
